A Sun-Shiny Day

So much is happening, but today was a sun-shiny day.

It's been a while since I've posted. I've been busy with helping with the planning our family reunion, learning things for my job, and trying to stay reasonably healthy.

We had another meeting for the reunion today and the meeting lasted almost 4 hours. In reality, we probably could have met for even longer because we still have some loose ends.

I accepted more duties. I must have a fever or something. Normally, my judgement is better.

As for knitting, I've made a tiny bit of progress on the Baby Surprise Sweater. Originally, I had planned to donate the sweater for the Dulaan Project but failed to finish the sweater in time. Now, I'm considering giving it to a family member. I took the sweater with me to the hair salon knowing I would have a golden opportunity for knitting. Unfortunately, I left the pattern at home.

I pulled out yarn earlier today so that I could bag it with the corresponding pattern I had chosen for it. I was going to take pictures and post them so you could see my plans but ran out of time. I had to hot-foot it to my meeting.

I'm determined to keep organizing and purging. Soon, I will once again know what yarn, patterns, needles, and books I have and will better be able to schedule/coordinate my projects. I'm looking forward to that day. It's not that I have a large stash. I'm just looking for more order in all aspects of my life.

I'm hoping to knit a few stitches of the Baby Surprise Sweater tomorrow. If I am able to knit on it at all, I'll post a progress shot. My hope is to finish the sweater by next Sunday, the 29th.

Waiting in the wings for me to start them are Tempting, Tempting II, Cheesylove, Wavy Lace Tank, the Shapely Shawlette, and many socks. A few shawls are waiting as well but I keep changing my mind on the pattern to start.

I have become quite knitting podcast fan. In addition to the podcasts I listed before, I have found I rather enjoy Sticks and String.

Sending my best regards to you all! I should be posting again soon, once I catch up on my blog reading!

Glad to hear things are going well, but busy! I was thinking of starting the BSJ. Would love to see how yours is coming along. Thanks for the podcast suggestion too!
