It's Been a Long Time

Wow, I had no idea it had been this long since I posted.

I've been quite occupied with the new job, my family reunion, health issues, and juggling way too many things at once.

I had made great progress on the Baby Surprise Jacket but decided I didn't like the way my picked-up stitches looked. For whatever reason, I haven't pulled out those stitches so that I can finally finish it. Once I finish my reunion items (name tags, calendars, wrapping door prizes) I'll be picking the sweater back up to finish it. I plan to add a little collar to it but I think I'm going to wait until I choose a recipient before I add the buttons.

I'll try to take a picture tomorrow to post since it's been quite some time since there was a picture.

I had planned to start a shawl after I finished the KBJ. I had been looking at quite a few patterns but now I want to make one in a worsted weight because the office where I currently work is almost always cold. I'm told that the office is even colder in the winter. I want to be able to put something nice and warm around me no matter what I'm wearing.

I'm also debating about when I should start Cheesylove. The temperature will begin to drop soon making the Tempting and Tempting II patterns drop a few places in the knitting queue.

I'm off now to work on the calendar. I don't know why I volunteered to do it. I have so much going on and absolutely should not be taking on these additional task. Wish me luck!
